Get rid of annoying pop-up permission requests

           How to disable the user account in Vista.
	This is also a good way to disable other programs you do not use.
	Disabling unused programs will speed up your computer.

 Method #1 - Using MSCONFIG

   1.  Type MSCONFIG  in the Run menu.

   2.  Click on the Tools tab. Scroll down till you find "Disable UAC" . Click on that line.

   3.  Press the Launch button.

   4.  A CMD window will open. When the command is done, you can close the window.

   5.  Close MSCONFIG. You need to reboot the computer for changes to apply. 

You can re-enable UAC by selecting the "Enable UAC" line and then clicking on the Launch button.


Old software not compatable with Vista? Try this before you give up and buy new.

  	1 - Go to MY COMPUTER - PROGRAM FILES - click on show files.

	2 - Find your program folder - open folder - find .exe file
   	
	3 - right click on .exe file - click on properties

	4 - Click on Compatibility.
	
	5 - Click on arrow on drop-down menu - find operating system that worked with old software and select that.

	6 - Click APPLY and OK   restart computer and see if old software now works.
