IF your computer can't find the Cable/DSL modem after it has been unplugged and plugged back in.

1. Turn your computer off.
2. Unplug the power on the cable modem. There are three cables, the round cable, RJ45 (looks like a phone jack), and a power cord that plugs into the wall outlet or a web strip. Unplug the power cord.
3. Wait 30 seconds
4. Plug the power back into the modem.
5. Wait for the lights to quit blinking on the modem.
6. Turn your computer on.

This should reset your modem.

If this doesn't work, you will have to call your cable company.
